(Vibiznews - FX) – Euro index today (20-02, 12:04 GMT) has gained about + 17 pips, or about + 0.16% from opening price (00:00 GMT). Euro still moving in bullish area and has risen around + 50 pips from the lows of today.

The index gain the highest position in more than two months at 104.05.Vibiz Consulting Analyst said the index shows a rising pattern against other major currencies, continuing the upward movement since February 16th.

Positive sentiments continue to rise, along with the strong optimism that Greece would receive bailout money and may temporarily avoid default.

The euro-area’s finance ministers are meeting in Brussels today to prevent default and they will join Greek Prime Minister Lucas Papademos to reconcile demands made on Greek leaders, a debt swap among private creditors and the role of the European Central Bank (ECB).


European stock markets also showing a positive sentiment, Euro Stoxx 50 stock index rise about + 1.10%, and the Bloomberg European 500 index also increased about + 0.85%. Meanwhile, Germany's DAX has moved up about + 1.48%, and the French CAC 40 Index also rose about + 0.82%.
