Namun, pembacaan Maret masih di atas ekspektasi analis dari penurunan 7,2%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Itu membawa PDB Inggris ke berkontraksi 2% untuk tiga bulan pertama tahun ini, kuartal-ke-kuartal, menurut angka ONS, meskipun ini lebih baik daripada 2,5% yang diperkirakan oleh analis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Perdana Menteri Boris Johnson mengumumkan langkah-langkah penguncian nasional mulai 23 Maret dalam upaya untuk mengurangi penyebaran virus corona, yang kini telah menginfeksi lebih dari 227.000 orang di negara itu.
