Harga batubara NewCastle yang terpantau pada penutupan sesi ICE Eropa hari Selasa subuh WIB(09\/06\/2020) anjlok merespon sentimen negatif bursa saham kawasan Eropa yang ditutup dalam zona merah serta anjloknya harga minyak mentah dan juga gas alam.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Harga batubara NewCastle\u00a0 untuk kontrak batubara\u00a0 berjangka yang ramai diperdagangkan yaitu kontrak bulan Juli 2020 di ICE Eropa ditutup pada posisi US$55,45 yang alami penurunan US$0,75 atau 1,33% dari posisi\u00a0 penutupan sesi sebelumnya. Awal sesi harga dibuka pada posisi US$55.90.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Harga batubara yang dibuka lebih rendah mendapat tekanan dari aksi profit taking di pasar komoditas minyak mentah yang sebelumnya bergerak sangat kuat. Harga minyak mentah jenis Brent anjlok hingga 3,24 persen setelah awal sesi naik ke posisi tertinggi 3 bulan lebih.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tekanan jual batubara secara fundamental dipengaruhi oleh\u00a0 penurunan tajam dalam permintaan listrik serta upaya untuk mengurangi emisi gas rumah kaca dan persaingan ketat dari energi bersih. EIA akhir pekan lalu melaporkan bahwa konsumsi energi terbarukan AS melampaui batubara pada 2019 untuk pertama kalinya dalam lebih dari 130 tahun.
