Nikkei sempat tertekan lebih rendah pada awal sesi oleh laporan peningkatan kasus covid-19, Osaka mengonfirmasi pada hari Selasa mencetak rekor pertambahan kasus baru satu hari\u00a0 719 kasus, di saat prefektur Jepang barat memperketat langkah-langkah dalam upaya untuk membendung peningkatan tajam dalam infeksi.<\/p>\n

Indeks harian Nikkei ditutup menguat 34,16 poin atau 0,12% menjadi 29730,79. Demikian untuk indeks Topix naik 0,67% menjadi 1.967,43. Untuk indeks Nikkei berjangka bulan Juni 2021 bergerak positif dengan naik 10 poin atau 0,03% ke posisi 29710.<\/p>\n

Berita tentang Toshiba telah membuat saham pembuat elektronik naik lebih tinggi, dimana konglomerat industri Jepang\u00a0 tersebut sedang mempertimbangkan tawaran $20 miliar dari perusahaan ekuitas swasta CVC Capital Partners Investor. Saham\u00a0 Toshiba melonjak 18,28% ke batas harian mereka setelah tidak diperdagangkan karena pesanan beli yang melimpah.<\/p>\n
