(Vibiznews – Economy & Business) Inflasi Inggris mencapai 7% secara tahunan pada bulan Maret. Angka ini merupakan tertinggi selama 30 tahun, akibat melonjaknya harga makanan dan energi.<\/p>\n

Harga konsumen naik 1,1% bulan ke bulan, melampaui ekspektasi untuk kenaikan 0,7% dalam jajak pendapat ekonom Reuters, yang juga memproyeksikan kenaikan tahunan 6,7%.<\/p>\n

Kenaikan tahunan 7% dalam indeks harga konsumen adalah yang tertinggi sejak Maret 1992, melampaui kenaikan 6,2% yang tercatat di bulan Februari.<\/p>\n

Mulai 1 April, regulator energi Inggris meningkatkan batas harga energi rumah tangga sebesar 54% menyusul lonjakan harga energi, termasuk rekor kenaikan harga gas global.<\/p>\n

Bank of England telah menaikkan suku bunga pada tiga pertemuan kebijakan moneter berturut-turut, menaikkan biaya pinjaman dari terendah bersejarah 0,1% menjadi 0,75%.<\/p>\n
