(Vibiznews – Commodity) Harga emas mencapai level tertinggi satu bulan pada hari Rabu, didorong oleh permintaan untuk lindung nilai terhadap melonjaknya inflasi di tengah perang Rusia-Ukraina, mengurangi tekanan dari ekspektasi kenaikan suku bunga AS yang agresif dan dolar yang kuat.<\/p>\n

Harga emas spot naik 0,69% menjadi $1.979,75 per ons, setelah menyentuh level tertinggi sejak 14 Maret di $1.979,95.<\/p>\n

Harga emas berjangka AS naik 0,4% pada $1.984,60.<\/p>\n

Data menunjukkan pada hari Selasa bahwa harga konsumen bulanan AS melonjak pada bulan Maret, memperkuat kasus untuk kenaikan suku bunga 50 basis poin dari Federal Reserve bulan depan karena berusaha untuk mengatasi inflasi.<\/p>\n

Emas dianggap sebagai lindung nilai terhadap inflasi dan risiko geopolitik. Namun, kenaikan suku bunga A.S. akan meningkatkan biaya peluang untuk menahan emas yang tidak memberikan imbal hasil dan meningkatkan dolar AS di mana emas dihargai.<\/p>\n

Indeks dolar menyentuh tertinggi dua tahun selama sesi didukung oleh komentar hawkish oleh pejabat Fed.<\/p>\n
