(Vibiznews – Forex) Poundsterling Inggris secara mingguan melemah pada akhir Juni, setelah mencapai tertinggi 14 bulan di $1,2848 pada 16 Juni, didorong oleh kekhawatiran investor mengenai potensi terjadinya resesi menyusul pengetatan kebijakan agresif Bank of England dalam beberapa bulan terakhir.<\/p>\n

Pasangan mata uang EUR\/USD ditutup naik 0,69% pada 1.2698.
\nSecara mingguan turun tipis 0,1%.
\nPada bulan Juni melonjak hampir 2%.
\nSecara kuartalan naik 2%.
\nSelama Semester pertama melonjak 6%.<\/p>\n

Gubernur Andrew Bailey menyatakan bahwa kenaikan suku bunga baru-baru ini merupakan cerminan dari ketahanan ekonomi dan inflasi yang tak terduga, mempertahankan sikap hawkish.<\/p>\n

Pada bulan Juni, pembuat kebijakan Inggris memberikan kenaikan suku bunga 50 bps yang lebih besar dari perkiraan dan menyatakan komitmen mereka untuk langkah-langkah pengetatan lebih lanjut setelah data mengungkapkan bahwa inflasi tetap tinggi di bulan Mei.
