Pada hari Senin, ISM mengatakan bahwa PMI sektor jasa AS bulan Januari naik ke 53.4 dari angka 50.6 pada bulan Desember. Angka yang keluar juga lebih tinggi daripada yang diperkirakan konsensus pasar kenaikan di 52.0.<\/p>\n<p>Poundsterling terus tertekan oleh buruknya sentimen pasar pada jam perdagangan sesi Eropa hari Senin yang disebabkan karena data Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) AS yang tangguh telah menurunkan ekspektasi akan penurunan tingkat bunga oleh Federal Reserve AS (the Fed) pada pertemuan kebijakan moneter bulan Maret.<\/p>\n<p>Munculnya data Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) AS yang bagus telah mendorong kenaikan yields obligasi treasury AS sehingga membuat indeks dolar AS naik ke level tertinggi sejak 11 Desember tahun lalu, dilatar belakangi ekspektasi bahwa Federal Reserve AS (the Fed) akan tetap mempertahankan tingkat bunga yang tinggi setelah munculnya laporan pekerjaan AS, Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) yang bagus pada hari Jumat minggu lalu.<\/p>\n<p>Investor melihat Federal Reserve AS (the Fed) akan tetap mempertahankan tingkat bunganya tidak berubah pada pertemuan kebijakan moneter bulan Maret nanti di rentang 5.25% \u2013 5.50% dengan menguatnya data pasar tenaga kerja, sehingga ada alasan untuk tetap mempertahankan tingkat bunga yang lebih tinggi sampai musim semi berakhir.<\/p>\n<p>Sementara itu skenario bagi para pembuat kebijakan Bank of England (BoE) menjadi sangat rumit karena semakin dalamnya ketakutan akan terjadinya resesi tehnikal di perekonomian Inggris. Di dalam revisinya, Office for National Statistics (ONS) Inggris melaporkan Gross Domestic Product (GDP) kuartal ketiga Inggris terkontraksi sebesar 0.1%.
