(Vibiznews – Index) – Perdagangan saham awal pekan di Wall Street alami pelemahan lanjutan dengan satu indeks berhasil rebound pada akhir sesi Selasa dini hari (12\/3\/2024).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeks Dow Jones naik tipis 0,1% menjadi 38.769,66 setelah sempat turun hampir 240 poin, S&P 500 turun tipis 0,1% menjadi 5.117,94 dan Nasdaq turun 0,4% menjadi 16.019,27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pelemahan yang berkelanjutan di Wall Street terjadi di tengah ketidakpastian prospek suku bunga menjelang rilis data inflasi utama AS pekan ini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Data inflasi harga konsumen dapat memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap prospek suku bunga Federal Reserve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meskipun The Fed diperkirakan akan mempertahankan suku bunganya tidak berubah pada pertemuan kebijakan moneternya minggu depan, data inflasi dapat mempengaruhi ekspektasi waktu turunnya suku bunga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secara sektoral saham semikonduktor memimpin pelemahan dengan Indeks Semikonduktor Philadelphia turun 1,4%. Saham pembuat peralatan semikonduktor Applied Materials anjlok 2% meskipun menaikkan dividennya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pelemahan signifikan lainnya pada saham-saham baja, sebagaimana tercermin dari penurunan 1,2% yang dicatat oleh NYSE Arca Steel Index.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pergerakan saham sebaliknya terlihat pada saham emas yang mendorong NYSE Arca Gold Bugs Index naik sebesar 2,5%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
